Genre: Film & TV, Popular & Folk

The setting is beautiful islands off Asia during World War II. Very attractive local women, dashing US navy staff, lovely beaches and gorgeous weather. Add Rodgers and Hammerstein music and you have a classic. Actually, the movie was filmed on Kauai, an Hawaiian island.

The film has been adopted by the gay community for it's honesty and, for the time, progressiveness in bringing the issue of homophobia to the large screen.

Our favourite is Some Enchanted Evening.
