Tears in Heaven is one of Eric Clapton's most successful songs. It was originally written and composed by Eric Clapton and Will Jennings for the film 'Rush' (1992), but also released as a single. With this song, Clapton tried to handle the death of his son, who fell from the 53rd floor of an apartment at the tender age of four years. Clapton wonders whether or not his son would recognize him in heaven ("Would you know my name if I saw you in heaven?"), and says that it must go on, needs to be strong ("I Must Be strong and carry on "). In 2004, Clapton stopped singing the song as he did not feel the same pain of having lost his son anymore. Here is an excerpt from the lyrics:

Would you know my name
if I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same
if I saw you in heaven?
