The line up of the Easybeats was Stevie Wright (vocals ), George Young (guitar), Harry Vanda (guitar), Dick Diamonde (bass) and Gordon 'Snowy' Fleet (drums). The good looking lads inevitably attracted adoring girls which earned the nickname "Easyfever." They were the greatest pop band from Australia in the 1960s and were the antipodean Beatles - including the screaming teenagers. They were very successful but broke up in 1969 but continued to play as separate entities. Notably, Stevie Wright became a cast member of the original Australian stage production of the famous musical Jesus Christ Superstar.

A fact of note is that George Young is the older brother of Malcolm and Angus Young, the pairing who formed the group AC/DC.
